The Spiritual Experiences Of Philip K. Dick:
The Symbols Of Plato's Cave
Seeking To Know Thyself
When rightly understood, a lifetime is as a single day in the existence of the Soul -- see The Secret Doctrine http://SecretDoctrine.Nazirene.org
In the same way that an Infant is mentally undeveloped, so too is the
Mind of each of us with respecting dwelling in a state of spiritual immaturity -- with
each life equal to a single Day in the many lives of the Soul.
What would be the result if you could not recall your accomplishments upon awakening each day? Your thinking and understanding would remain undeveloped. This inability to recall, is the problem with respect to each life that your Soul incarnates into. Sadly, you
would understand this great void in your Soul-Reality, if the post-Nicene Church (325 AD) hadn't
corrupted the Gospels and changed the beliefs of the people -- see The Pre-Nicene Position Of The Church On Reincarnation https://brotherofyeshua.blogspot.com/2022/04/the-pre-nicene-position-of-church-on.html
Each
of us is born with the ability to tap into the knowledge of our Soul's
previous lives. And while this ability belongs in the domain of the Feminine-Intuitive -- and the ability to recall past lives is therefore more common among women -- there are men who either possess the capacity to also recall their Soul's previous lives, or they assist their wives and develop the ability if they pursue Self-Knowledge within a Spiritual Marriage. Most people can't, because they fail to make the effort at developing the ability to recall their
Soul's previous lives -- thereby remaining Spiritually Self-Ignorant. The
Atheist remains immature and makes no effort to spiritually advance, so he proclaims there is no proof of God or life after death. The Christian believes
and clings to the religion of Roman Emperors -- see The Religion Of
Roman Emperors http://ChristianReincarnation.org#emperors Others seek to become wealthy in life -- others seek sexual gratification -- still others permit
themselves to become immersed in the carnal elements of this world.
Resulting in a lack of spiritual development.
The Spiritual Holistic Lifestyle
Jesus taught that you must live a Spiritually Holistic Mindset and Lifestyle
to understand the meaning of the scriptures and tap into the Divine Mind
of God -- see The Spiritual Holistic Lifestyle http://TheLawOfTheGospels.com#TheSpiritualHolisticLifestyle What this means is that your ability to Know, is dependent upon the frequency and vibration of your own Mind and Consciousness.
Like my own recall of my Soul's previous life as Jacob who they call James, the Brother of Yeshua who they call Jesus (see http://BrotherOfJesus.org ), author and visionary Philip K. Dick possessed degrees of past life recall. Quoting Philip Dick's account: "When
a delivery person from the pharmacy brought his pain medication, he
noticed the ichthys (an ancient Christian symbol consisting of two intersecting arcs forming a fish profile) necklace she wore and asked her what it meant. She
responded that it was a symbol used by the early Christians, and in that
moment Dick's religious experiences began: Thus,
the image of the early Christian symbol acted as a catalyst that
initiated recall of his Soul's previous life as a first century
Christian of which he wrote:
"In
that instant, as I stared at the gleaming fish sign and heard her
words, I suddenly experienced what I later learned is called anamnesis—a
Greek word meaning, literally, "loss of forgetfulness." I remembered
who I was and where I was. In an instant, in the twinkling of an eye, it
all came back to me. And not only could I remember it but I could see
it. The girl was a secret Christian and so was I. We lived in fear of
detection by the Romans. We had to communicate with cryptic signs. She
had just told me all this, and it was true. For a short time, as hard
as this is to believe or explain, I saw fading into view the black,
prison like contours of hateful Rome. But, of much more importance, I
remembered Jesus, who had just recently been with us, and had gone
temporarily away, and would very soon return. My emotion was one of joy.
We were secretly preparing to welcome Him back. It would not be long.
And the Romans did not know. They thought He was dead, forever dead.
That was our great secret, our joyous knowledge. Despite all
appearances, Christ was going to return, and our delight and
anticipation were boundless."
The
Fundamentalists who are of a physical-only three-dimensional mindset,
can only grasp the text of the written words of the scriptures. But the
scriptures were composed by mystics who viewed this world as a type of
prison that held mankind captive in a world of shadow-images as
portrayed in the analogy of Plato's Cave (see Plato's Cave http://OuterDarkness.Nazirene.org#Cave ).
The
author and visionary Philip K. Dick was able to recall his Soul's
previous life in the first century where he lived as an original
follower of Jesus. He also wrote with respect to the original disciples
of Jesus that: "Christ
...taught his followers how to enter the kingdom while still alive,
where other mystery religions only bring about amnesis: knowledge of it
at the 'other time' in 'the other realm,' not here. His (teachings) causes it to
come here, and is the living agency to the Sole Good God (i.e. the
Logos)."
These other mystery religions that Philip Dick was making reference
to, sacrificed the earthly in order to achieve amnesis insights and
vision. Under the heading of Anamnesis (Philosophy), the Wikipedia
states: It
is the idea that humans possess knowledge from past incarnations and
that learning consists of rediscovering that knowledge within us". The article then goes on to say: Socrates'
response is to develop his theory of anamnesis. He suggests that the
soul is immortal, and repeatedly incarnated; knowledge is actually in
the soul from eternity... What one perceives to be learning, then, is
actually the recovery of what one has forgotten. (Once it has been
brought back it is true belief, to be turned into genuine knowledge by
understanding.) And thus Socrates (and Plato) sees himself, not as a
teacher, but as a midwife, aiding with the birth of knowledge that was
already there in the student.
Organic man is subject to the illusions of Plato's Cave, because he cannot see and understand with any degree of Wholeness -- i.e., "They that are
whole have no need of the physician, but they that
are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but
sinners to repentance" (Mark 2:17).
While
higher vision can be achieved via Anamnesis through the focus on the
third-eye associated with meditation and the sixth spiritual center -- as well as the
raising of what is portrayed as the kundalini energy from the base of
the spine into the upper spiritual centers. The limitation of what
Philip K. Dick portrayed as the Mystery Religions is presented in his
words when he referenced these "...other mystery religions only bring about amnesis: knowledge of it at the 'other time' in 'the other realm,' not here." Many of these mystery religions claim that the goal is to "get above the mind" --
thereby leaving the mind itself undeveloped. What was the basis of
Philip Dick's assessment? The Answer: You must build a Living Temple
where all duality is developed and brought into the Center of your
Being. Most of these paths embraced meditation and celibacy -- which of course suppressed the generative power.
To see and understand man's Higher Soul and Spiritual Reality, he must bring his Mind into Wholeness -- ceasing to be divided by Male and Female as stated in the Gospel of Philip:
“When Eve was still with
Adam, death did not exist. When she was separated
from him, death came into being. If he enters again
and attains his former self, death will be no more”. The Process of which is in the Gospel of Thomas: "Jesus
said to them,
When you make the two one, and
when you make the inside like the outside and the
outside like the inside, and the above like the
below, and when you make the male and the female one
and the same, so that the male not be male nor the
female, female;
...then will you enter the kingdom." Jesus taught that this Wholeness of Male/Adam and Woman/Eve must be achieved while in the physical body-vessel. And if it is not, physical death can be portrayed as a Spiritual Miscarriage
http://DivineMarriage.org#FailureOfBirth
-- where the incarnation of the Soul fails to achieve the Final Birth -- see The Law Of Birth
http://DivineMarriage.org#TheLawOfBirth
In the allegorical account of Genesis, when Eve was drawn
from the side of Adam, what is being personified is the fact that when our Soul
entered this physical realm that is portrayed as the Far Country in the parable
of the prodigal son, that the mind of Mankind became divided across the
polarities of Male/Positive and Female/Negative when we entered this world. What
this means is that when man meets woman, it is in reality one half of the mind
meeting and interacting with the other half -- both of them divided opposites
with greatly differing mental perceptions and abilities that must be joined
together as One, to bring about Wholeness -- which is in fact the purpose and
objective of the Gospel teachings as seen in the statement:
"They that are whole have no need of the physician, but
they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance"
(Mark 2:17).
When the Soul-Incarnation achieves the Final Birth through a Spiritually Divine Coverture Marriage, then having achieved Wholeness of Mind and Consciousness, the person is able to overcome the illusions of Plato's Cave, and is able to see and understand in Wholeness.
Sperm and Ovum bring about a Total Integration to the degree that each physical cell possesses the same DNA as the Whole. You were born into this life as a Mental-Sperm or Mental-Ovum -- and when Jesus said:
"...When you make the two one, and
when you make the inside like the outside and the
outside like the inside, and the above like the
below, and when you make the male and the female one
and the same, so that the male not be male nor the
female, female;
...then will you enter the kingdom" -- he was making reference to a Total Integration of the Male and Female Polarities of Mind that brought about Wholeness of Mind and Consciousness with our Higher Source of Being at a level where the Totality of our Being is At-One with the Divine Mind (God).
The Kingdom Within And The Narrow Gate
Jesus taught that the Kingdom is within each of us (Luke 17:20-21). The "narrow gate" represents the inner journey to our Source or True-Self that is
historically portrayed by the mystics. And
with respect to this inner journey to our Source of Being, author and
visionary Philip K. Dick stated in The Ten Principles Of The Gnostic
Revelation where he portrays the realty of the person you are in this
world with your higher soul-self where he wrote: "Each
of us has a divine counterpart unfallen who can reach a hand down to us
to awaken us. This other personality is the authentic waking self; the
one we have now is asleep and minor"
-- which confirms the statements of Giordano Bruno. Which should
raise the question: What does each person have to do to make this inward
journey to their True-Self?
While
Giordano Bruno was bunt at the stake for teaching Christians the
Original Gospel concepts and teachings that were suppressed by the
Church (see The Restored Gospel Teachings http://OriginalGospel.Ebionite.com
), the account of Philip K. Dick reveals to seekers the purpose of
the allegorical catalysts used in the scriptures to connect the person
we are in this world with our Higher Source of Being.
