Exoteric vs Esoteric
Exoteric vs Esoteric
In the Meme: Exoteric vs Esoteric, each of the religions has an inner spiritual meaning that is not at all understood by the mass of faith-based believers -- and only those who understand the inner esoteric meaning of their exoteric religious teachings can gain access to the Center or Truth of all Truths. But even more important is the reality that as the believer begins to move beyond the Exoteric and into the higher reality of the Esoteric, this spiritual advancement is accomplished through the process of mental-expansion and spiritual-deepening as the person's consciousness is Transformed and Anointed by the Inner Light. And this is why Jesus explained to his disciples when asked why he only spoke to the masses in the enigma of parables: “Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand” (Mark 4:11-12) -- further stating to his disciples: "And with many such parables He spoke the word to them as they were able to hear it. But without a parable He did not speak to them. And when they were alone, He explained all things to His disciples" (Mark 4:33-34).
Why would Jesus teach each person differently -- i.e., "as they were able to hear it" -- conveying the reality that the multitude of people were not able to comprehend the true meaning of his teachings? With respect to his disciples it was stated: "Then opened He their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures" (Luke 24:45). Yet, Jesus could not openly teach the spiritual meaning of the Gospel teachings to the faith-based followers of whom he stated that they would be "...ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding” (Mark 4:11-12)? Because the multitudes fail to become the "good ground" that is personified in the parable of the Sower and the Seed (see http://SowerAndTheSeed.Ebionite.com ) where Jesus warned the faith-based believers “But if you can’t understand this story, how will you understand all the others I am going to tell?” (Mark 4:13). And what is truly important is the fact that the examples of those who were unable to comprehend the teachings, and thus could not bear the necessary spiritual fruit, were all the portrayal of the believer community -- and not, unbelievers. Which is why Paul said of the Christians who he had personally instructed: “I gave you milk to drink, not solid food; for you were not yet able to receive it. Indeed, even now you are not yet able” (1 Cor 3:2). Which means that, unless you advance beyond the text and literal meaning of the written word of the Gospels, that not only is no advancement possible, but that what you believe will lack the higher spiritual meaning, and will alienate you from the Center Core of Truth that is Spiritually Sustaining and Life-Giving. And this fact is why Paul portrayed the written word of the scriptures as the "letter that killeth [and] Jewish folktales" (see 2 Cor 3:6; Titus 1:14).
The word Exoteric can portray observing the scriptures externally in ritual and tradition. Jesus portrayed the leaders of the Jews as "blind guides" -- portraying them as the "devil's spawn" (see The Devil's Spawn
http://DevilSpawn.Ebionite.com ) -- because they threw away the Key of Knowledge in their carnal interpretation of the scriptures. In order to begin to understand the esoteric or spiritual meaning of the scriptures, you must utilize them as the Key of Knowledge, and interpret them within your own mind and being (see The Application Of The Key Of Knowledge
http://KeyOfKnowledge.org#ApplicationOfTheKeyOfKnowledge ) -- applying the application of the scriptures in your own mind and being. Jesus taught that the Kingdom is within you (Luke 17:20-21) -- and only when the scriptures are used as the Key of Knowledge and turned within your own mind, can you begin to open the Gate of Eden and return to your own Source of Being. Which means that only those who prepare themselves to seek the Esoteric Spiritual Meaning of the scriptures, can begin to understand the Truth of all Truths -- being taught by The One Teacher
http://BrotherOfJesus.org#TheOneTeacher -- and be taught by God.
Regardless of which religion or philosophy you embrace, unless you become the "good ground" in which the seed of the Living Word has been implanted (see http://SowerAndTheSeed.Ebionite.com ), you have no idea as to the inner spiritual meaning of the teachings that you have embraced -- and you lack any inner conscious connection and understanding of the Truth. And from a Christian perspective, while you may have said a prayer accepting Jesus as your personal lord and savior, unless you have embraced the Original Gospel Teachings -- many of which was suppressed and corrupted by the pagan Church of Rome (see http://OriginalGospel.Ebionite.com ) -- then Jesus portrayed your condition in the words that you are "...ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding” (Mark 4:11-12)?
